EFFECT OF RISK MANAGEMENT ON CONSTRUCTION PROJECT DELIVERY IN LAGOS STATE NIGERIA

Abstract

This research examined the effect of risk management on construction project delivery in Lagos state, Nigeria. The aim of this research work is to determine the risk management processes employed for the LCI, any to check if there are any risk issues confronting the LCI ,and lastly to access what are the main risk issues that impact on project delivery in LCI. Due to the nature of the construction projects which consists of many related and none-related operations, many risk factors will contribute in a project. To have an effective risk management plan, at first step the key risk factors which have the most effect on project objectives should be identified and classified. A sample of 75 questionnaires was distributed in which 60 was returned. The data collected were analyzed using only descriptive statistical tool which are frequency table, percentage distribution. The study explored the process of risk management in construction project delivery, any risk issues confronting the lagos construction industry, and further broadened the main risk issues that impact on project delivering in lagos construction industry.
