dc.description.abstract A stud as conducted to improve the methods of silk-wig weaving in Ondo State. Wigs are artificial head gear both en and all of life. Wig is one of the judicial attires b legal practitioners in art of the world. In Nigeria only to states, Ondo and , produce wigs using silk fibre. Most legal practitioner in Nigeria refer foreign wig to indigenous ones and the practitioners that patronize indigenous wigs do so because of its lo rice range. In Ondo State, there are introduced fro other arterials such as raffia, banana and al leaves but these materials are not as lustrous as silk fibre due to the uniqueness of silk being the queen of fibres. Weaving of silk-wig in Ondo State is a tie-consuming process using annual sills all through. Most ties the in silk-wig are often as a result of the production process of silk fibre fro which the . Silk fibre is soused to be a gloss -coloured material and so should be the resulting wig such fibre but this is not the case of or introduced in Ondo State. The are usually -or dirt in colour. Furthermore, silk fibres used for wig weaving are suosedtobestea-driedbutduetotheoorstateofthere-reelingachineinthefilature the are often sun-dried. This usual affects the anterior art of the wig. The rationale behind this research is to weaving the easting techniques involved in silk-wig weaving in Ondo State, iron on these indigenous methods be introducing to a little wigs. The research adopted oriental design using describe approach. Direct historical observation as alienated for the elaboration of rearing of silk or, reeling of its cocoon and weaving of the silk fibres into wigs. Silk fibre used for the researchers wig as obtained fro the cocoon of a cross-breed or called Akure-Chinese Japanese. Covariate analysis of durability and position as carried out between the researchers wig and an indigenous one. Tests ere carried out on the fibres using the sermonette achiness determine the durability and strength of the to wigs. Further tests such as burning test, laundering and cleaning test and chemical test ere also carried out on both wigs to ascertain their composition and characteristics. Results obtained fro the various tests carried out on the to wigs that the introduced wigs are or endurable and resilient than the indigenous wig in Ondo State. en_US
