| dc.description.abstract | The study involves developing an interactive virtual environment for the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. This study involves both experimental and survey research. The experimental aspect utilizes studio experimentation which involves bringing together and testing the developed Interactive Virtual Environment for the Federal University of Technology, Akure with the staff and students of the University campus. CRY engines of ware was used for the development of the interactive virtual environment. This software was used for modeling the structures, adding of textures, as well as simulating the entire application. The survey aspect utilizes questionnaires to elicit responses from the respondents (students and staff) drawn from the University campus. The respondents were made up of students and staff of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. Structured questionnaires were administered to one hundred and eighty-seven (187) respondents (students and staff) of the University campus. Stratified and random sampling techniques were adopted in selecting the one hundred and eighty-seven(187) respondents for the study. In order to realize the stated objectives, questionnaires were drawn from the research questions which guided the study. The questionnaire responses were given ranking of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, in the modified Likert scale model. These rankings gave room for easy interpretation and justification for statistical analysis. Frequency tables and percentile were used to analyse data obtained from the field. | en_US |
