determination of reward. Kruskal-Wallis test was employed to test the significance
difference of means of different groups of respondents while Mean gap analysis and
Mann-Whitney U-test were used in examining the relationship between reward and
performance. The study revealed that salary or wage was the most used reward in the
surveyed Quantity Surveying firms and the most important reward to the employees.
The result also showed that though both financial and non-financial reward packages had effect on performance but financial reward packages had more effect on the performance of Quantity Surveyors. Therefore, there is a need to pay adequate attention to the use of
financial reward and also to non-financial reward like training, share ownership and
promotion also to be made available to all employees irrespective of their competencies as these help in improving ability of such employees, this in turn increase their performance and productivity and make such employee to have closer affinity to the organisation.
