dc.description.abstract Influence of rotatory inertia correction factor on the vibration of elastically supported non-uniform Rayleigh beam on variable bi-parametric elastic foundation is investigated. The method of Galerkin is used to reduce the governing fourth order partial differential equation with variable and singular coefficients to a sequence of coupled second order ordinary differential equation which is then simplified with modified asymptotic method of Struble. The simplified equation is then solved using the Laplace transformation technique and convolution theory. The closed form solutions obtained is then analyzed to determine the condition of resonance. Graphs are drawn to show the effects of rotatory inertia as well as the foundation and shear moduli on the vibration of the elastically supported non-uniform Rayleigh beam resting on variable bi-parametric (Pasternak) elastic foundation. en_US
