Abstract:
This study is concerned with the Analysis of Quality Standard of Schools and Students
Performance using Process Capability Index. The Quality standard of schools and students
has been considered in the Literature, by using students result in some selected secondary
schools in Ifedore Local government area of Ondo state. The standard set for the promotion
by Ondo state government has been followed. The study has been able to determine the
capabilities of the schools under consideration to meet the standard specification for the two
subjects (i.e. English and Mathematics) both at Junior and Senior Schools Level. Both schools
are shown to be capable at junior level, but only school A shows capability in English
language at senior level. They are both not capable to handle Mathematics at senior level.
Almost all Cpk’s are less than 1, which shows improvement in the process is needed.
