dc.description.abstract In any research involving sensitive questions, respondents tend to refuse to answer such questions or give evasive responses. Many randomized response sampling techniques were developed but could only handle two answer options; ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. In this study, a tripartite randomized response sampling technique was developed to handle the three answer options: ‘Yes’, ‘No’ and ‘Undecided’. It was established that the variance, or standard error of the proposed technique is less than that of the conventional technique for various orders of probabilities of each answer option. Hence, the proposed technique is more precise and hence more efficient than the conventional technique in obtaining response from the informants. en_US
