dc.description.abstract In Nigeria, most public places lack quantity parking facilities. availability whereas adequacy of installed parking facilities will allow people meet the ease of movement and traffic flow in Market places. Properly located and well managed parking facilities will ease accessibility which are vital because of unrestricted accessibility to facilities can be inextricably linked to our identity and personality. These facilities are vital facilities that might contribute towards the health and well-being of people that patronize the market. Consequently, this research was carried out to study the inter-modal access to market locations in the littoral corridor of Ondo state. The research was conducted using questionnaires and filed observations to collect the required data for the purpose of fulfilling the objectives of the study. Therefore 189 questionnaires were administered in which stratified sampling method was adopted by drawing 30 percent from each of all the registered Associations market traders, commercial boat Operators, commercial vehicle driver associations and additional 100 questionnaires were also administered on random basis 50 questionnaires for each of the two selected market. Making a grand total of 289 questionnaires that was administered. Meanwhile, Pearson Product correlation was used to test for the relationship between shopper’s origin and market locations. Gravity model was also applied to reveal the degree of Attraction and Repulsion (interaction) between market locations and their catchment areas. The findings reveal that installed parking facilities are inadequate, in order to achieve provision and better management of the market parking facilities, policies are recommended based on the research findings these include development of parking lots and provision of more jetties, effective monitoring, mandatory legislation and private-public sector participation. en_US
