dc.description.abstract The knowledge concerning urban movement patterns is relevant in the expansion of planning principles that relate to provision of transportation system of the study area. Travel inventories were taken from authorized transport terminals within Osogbo Township where passengers manifest were put into use. These data were gathered during the official operating period in all the terminals. Research models were obtained through regression analysis using the software, Statistical Package for Social Science SPPS (Version 16) while statistical validations of the models were assessed with the help of likelihood-rate-index and convergence conditions. Trip volume, travel distance, travel cost, travel time, numbers of linkage passed from origin to destination, highway type travelled along each linkage, average speed along each linkage and population of the destinations were the parameters considered in the research. The results indicated that the travel behaviour of various trips varied considerably in trip length, travel time, travel cost, trip volume, vehicle type and linkages. Moreover, the trip volume varies inversely to the travel attributes considered in the research. In addition the trip volume are influenced by travel distance, travel time, travel cost, availability of private automobile, population and socio-economic characteristics of the destination. The level of significance of the model is 99% with an R square value of 0.712. This shows that the behavioural travel demand is fairly robust in replicating the observed data. en_US
