Abstract:
The success of any Marketing of Agricultural products largely depends on the consistency in the quality of its awareness output. Some of the problems of inconsistency in marketing of Agricultural products can be associated with the unsurveyed condition of reaching out to potential buyers. In Nigeria, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools such as websites and mobile technology have been of help in the proliferation of information that are most needed for solving different problems in all fields of human endeavours and by so doing have become a game changer in all sectors including the agricultural sector. The potential benefits of adopting ICT tools for agricultural solution include making agricultural markets more efficient and transparent, linking poor farmers to urban, regional and global markets, helping poor farmers participate in higher value agriculture This study, therefore, aimed at addressing the marketing of agricultural produce through the development of a graphic web- based application. This study employed survey and practice research design and 322 members of the farmers’ association Akure south was sampled to give infinite result why graphic web application is needed for the marketing of agricultural produce. Following a set of factors, a graphic web-based application was developed using Java programming language. Android Software Development Kit (SDK), C++ with the Native Development Kit (NDK), Xamarin, Crodova and React Native for developing apps, where the tools used to developed the application. This research has demonstrated the viability of developing a homegrown solution in integrating farmers and buyers together in reaching out to their potential buyers using ICT tools (android application).
