dc.description.abstract This project focuses on water supply and sanitation to churches in Akure local government area of On do State. To achieve this goal, randomly selected 150 churches within Akure were inspected to assess their conditions of suitability, adequacy and use by worshippers. Questionnaires were administered to worshipers within the study area. In addition to the questionnaire, interviews questions were also conducted. The data collected were tested and analyzed using chi - square hypothesis. The result of this analysis were used to provide a rational basis for designing workable prototype water supply and sanitation systems for the churches in the study area at three different population levels. The population levels include: designing a workable prototype water supply and sanitation facilities for low population churches (lip to 100 worshipers), medium population churches (up to 250 worshipers), and large population churches (up to 500 worshipers). Cost estimates or the attached and detached toilet facilities provided in the design for three population levels were prepared. en_US
