Abstract:
...Biochemistry is also a quantitative science
and is controlled by Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Although
taught descriptively, quantitative aspects and approaches are essential
to biochemistry. Biochemistry students approach the Biochemistry
course with the notion that it is solely descriptive, overlooking its
quantitative traits. This misconception, coupled with a general decline
in numeracy skills, makes the subject lack feelings, flavour, and logic.
From my perspective, to truly master biochemistry, students need to
embrace both its descriptive and quantitative aspects, enabling them to
analyse and interpret complex biological data. I started teaching
Biochemistry from the foundational knowledge of Chemistry,
Physics, and Mathematics to provide a deeper understanding of
biochemistry concepts....
