dc.description.abstract The problem of natural cooling of buildings in tropical climate has been considered in this research. Two locations Ebute Metta of Lagos Mainland and Ikorodu zones were chosen for the research where the ambient and room (indoor) temperatures of some selected buildings were taken. The research showed that natural cooling of buildings could be achieved by: • Building houses/rooms to face South or North. • Using asbestos sheets as roofing Material • Leaving spaces between buildings to allow for free airflow. etc. • Limiting the number of people using a room. Statistical methods were used in the analysis of the collected data which later showed that the both calculated and measured data are almost equal in every aspect. en_US
